Bon Kiara

Mont Kiara

A landscape design project with collaboration with Bangkok landscape architects. The landscape design embraces a Mediterranean-inspired concept, thoughtfully adapted to the Malaysian tropical climate. The approach balances aesthetic elegance with sustainability by blending classic Mediterranean elements—such as olive trees, lavender, and rosemary—with resilient tropical plants better suited to local conditions. The use of drought-tolerant species ensures a sustainable, low-maintenance environment.

Hardscape elements like stone pathways, terraces, and rustic materials (stone, clay, and wood) are combined with lush greenery to evoke a natural, organic atmosphere. Water features—including ponds, fountains, and waterfalls—not only enhance visual and auditory appeal but also soften the overall landscape.

A key feature of the design is the integration of outdoor living spaces such as patios and pergolas, promoting relaxation and social interaction in an inviting, climate-responsive setting. Sustainable practices such as efficient irrigation, drainage solutions, and the use of native plants are incorporated to reduce environmental impact and support long-term ecological health.
